Jenna has been reading and writing historical romance since she was a teenager. A romantic herself, she has always loved a dark side to the genre, a twist, suspense, a surprise. She tries to incorporate all of these elements into her own stories. She lives in Virginia with her family and a small menagerie of pets. When not reading or writing, she indulges her passion for the theatre, working with local theatres as a director. She often feels she is directing her characters on their own private stage.
She has equated her writing to an addiction to chocolate because once she starts she just can't stop.
Born in Las Vegas, NV, I joined the air force to see the world. An assignment to England kindled my love of the Regency era and prompted my dream to publish the stories in my head. I love to write with a steady supply of coffee nearby and one of my three cats on my lap. I currently live in Alaska with my husband and two teenage boys and wish I had the attention span to be a better cook.
Nadine Millard is a bestselling writer hailing from Dublin, Ireland.
When she's not writing historical romance, she's managing her chaotic household of three children, a husband and a very spoiled dog!

Annabelle Anders
Married to the same man for over 25 years, I am a mother to three children and two Miniature Wiener dog.
After owning a business and experiencing considerable success, my husband and I got caught in the financial crisis and lost everything; our business, our home, even our car.
At this point, I put my B.A. in Poly Sci to use and took work as a waitress and bartender.
Unwilling to give up on a professional life, I simultaneously went back to college and obtained a degree in Energy Management.
And then the energy market dropped off.
And then my dog died.
I can only be grateful for this series of unfortunate events, for, with nothing to lose and completely demoralized, I sat down and began to write the romance novels which had until then, existed only my imagination.
I am happy to have found my place in life.
Finally.
Anna Bradley is an RT Reviewer's Choice award-winning author of Regency Historical Romances. Anna came by her love of the regency-era the usual way--via a deep, abiding love for Jane Austen, and an appreciation for gentlemen in breeches and polished Hessians.
Anna's next book, MORE OR LESS A TEMPTRESS, releases on November 13, 2018. Anna lives with her husband and two children in Portland, OR, where people are delightfully weird and love to read.

Breaking Josephine
Goodreads / Amazon / Barnes & Noble / iBooks / Kobo -- EXCERPT: Jack closed his eyes and took in a long slow breath. But his attempt to regain control failed. In a swift movement, his hands circled under Jo’s thighs and lifted her up, her legs wrapping around his waist. One of his hands cupped her buttocks, holding her up, while his other sailed up her spine and over her neck. Their lips were a breath apart, and for a moment they stayed like that, breathing each other’s air. Their heartbeats galloped together under the thin fabric of their clothes, and Jo didn’t know where hers stopped and his began. Her eyelids grew heavy, and she shivered at the temptation that was offered up in his sweet lips so close to hers. How quickly she forgot the inappropriateness of what their kisses had led to in the past. But her mind was a fog of want and desire, and propriety was as far off as the moon. She felt him harden under his trousers, and Jo’s hands twitched, instinctively wanting to draw his desire out. Jack gripped her under her thighs and carried her across the barn, pressing her against the wall. Confidence lurched in Jo and she slid her legs down to stand. She satisfied her twitching hands and placed them on top of the bulge that strained the fabric of his trousers. He groaned in her mouth, and the encouragement of his response thrust her desire forward.

Guest Post:
What inspired you to write this book? The first book, “Why the Earl is After the Girl” was inspired by a computer crash. Unfortunately, I didn’t have a backup of any of the manuscripts that I had been working on. I was devastated that all of that time and effort had been essentially wiped clean. In spite of this, I got the idea of a heroine losing everything she had, thus Athena Hawthorne was born. After I wrote my debut novel, the rest of the characters materialized and eventually extended into the Ways of Love Series. What can we expect from you in the future? Historical romance is my first love (pun intended), although I have considered paranormal, fantasy, and even writing a children’s book. I guess I’ll just see where inspiration leads me. Either way, I plan to be behind my keyboard -- working on something -- for years to come. Do you have any “side stories” about the characters? None of my characters were envisioned from real life people. I’m afraid they were all just figments of my desire. Can you tell us a little bit about the characters in the Ways of Love Series? All of my couples are near and dear to my heart, naturally, but I have a particular soft spot for Drayven. He isn’t introduced until book 3 in “When a Duke Pursues a Lady,” but will be featured in the fourth book, which is still in progress. He’s just such a sarcastic and cynical hero that I’ve enjoyed writing the banter between him and the heroine, an equally cynical and strong-willed woman. How did you come up with the concept and characters for the book? After struggling to come up with a catchy title for my debut novel, I decided, after the name was selected, why not have a five book series that has to do with Why, Where, When, Who, What and call it the “Ways of Love.” I’d already fallen in love with Roarke from book 2 and liked the mysterious side character of ‘Miss Smith.’ I started to wonder what her story was. I guess it just snowballed from there! Where did you come up with the names in these stories? Generally from a book of baby names! What did you enjoy most about writing these books? I’ve learned so much about the whole publishing process, from edits (more than one round), to cover reveals and the final moment when the manuscript goes “live” to be a true book. It’s always exciting to have a new release and each one is special to me. Tell us about your main characters- what makes them tick? Honestly, they tell me their story. I just write it down. I might have an initial idea of where the story is going to go and then it completely turns in a different direction. It seems as though the character’s personalities develop along the way making each story uniquely touching. From second chances, to learning to trust, they are characters that most of us can relate to. How did you come up with the title of your first novel? Originally, I had entitled it, “What the Earl Wants,” but then I came across another book with a similar name, so I started playing around with different ideas. In my story, the Earl of Rockford is looking for a missing family heirloom. He thinks the heroine is the thief. So in the end, I decided to keep it simple, thus “Why the Earl is After the Girl,” was born. Who designed your book covers? I’m lucky to have an editor that chooses the gorgeous designs for all of my covers. There are so many great choices out there that it would be hard to pick just one! If you had to do it all over again, would you change anything in your latest book? Considering that I just finished a HUGE edit for book 3, anything that needed to be changed was certainly rewritten. But I know that the end result will be much better. Did you learn anything during the writing of your recent book? As usual, edits make me crazy! The dedication it takes to get a work from manuscript, first draft level to polished, published level is a lot of time and devotion. It is a daunting task. If it wasn’t something I truly loved to do, I would have quit a long time ago! If your book was made into a film, who would you like to play the lead? Honestly, I don’t really have anyone in mind. I haven’t even thought that far ahead since I’m still a “newbie” writer. I think whoever was excited about playing the role would be fine with me. Anything specific you want to tell your readers? Thank you so much for all of your support. I can’t say it enough! What is your favorite part of this book and why? My favorite part of the first book, “Why the Earl is After the Girl” would have to be my nod to roller-skating. It was a favorite pastime for me when I was little, so I always knew I would have to include it in a book somehow! If you could spend time with a character from your book whom would it be? And what would you do during that day? Maybe Big B. He was a special side character for me. I think we’d probably go watch a boxing match. Since he was a former prizefighter, I imagine he would like that to see it from the other side of the ring. Do your characters seem to hijack the story or do you feel like you have the reigns of the story? Convince us why you feel your book is a must read. I feel like everyone’s story is unique, but I like to push the boundaries of historical romance a bit. I like to play around with my characters and have them face difficult and challenging situations. Adventure, romance, and shocking twists are what you can find in my books. I always thought that was the beauty of fiction. To be able to give your imagination wings. Have you written any other books that are not published? Before my untimely computer crash, I had written quite a few manuscripts, although only two of them were fully completed. Looking back, it was probably best that they “bit the dust.” If your book had a candle, what scent would it be? It would be called True Love’s Desire and it would smell like roses and sandalwood. |
