I live in the suburbs of Dallas where it's true, the only thing bigger than an over active imagination, may be women's hair!
Usually, I try for funny. Humor is a major part of my life - I love to laugh, and it seems to be the thing I do in most situations - regardless of the situation, but jokes are a tricky deal... I don't want to offend anyone and jokes tend to offend. So instead I'm going to tell you about Kindle.
I tragically lost my sixteen year old daughter to a drunk driver. She had just been at home, it was early in the night and I heard the accident happen. I'll never forget that moment. The sirens were immediate and something inside me just knew. I left my house, drove straight to the accident on nothing more than instinct. I got to be there when my little girl died - weirdly, I consider that a true gift from above. She didn't have to be alone.
That time in my life was terrible. It's everything you think it would be times about a billion. I love that kid. I loved being her mother and I loved watching her grow into this incredibly beautiful person, both inside and out. She was such a gift to me. To have it all ripped away so suddenly broke me.
Her name was Kindle. Honest to goodness - it was her name and she died a few weeks before Amazon released their brand new Kindle ereader. She had no idea it was coming out and she would have finally gotten her name on something! Try finding a ruler with the name Kindle on it.. It never happened.
Through the course of that crippling event I was lucky enough to begin to write with a dear friend in the fan fiction world of Facebook. She got me through those dark days with her unwavering support and friendship. There wasn't a time she wasn't there for me. Sometimes together and sometimes by myself, we built a world where Kindle lives and stands for peace, love and harmony. It's its own kind of support group. I know without question I wouldn't be here today without her.

Title: Tuning It Out
Series: Young Spades #3
Author: Riley Long
Genre: M/M Romance
Release Date: October 31, 2018
Trick Thomas has it all: a great family, a tight-knit group of friends, and a promising future. Tired of the go-nowhere music scene in Boulder, Colorado, Trick and his up-and-coming indie rock band Young Spades are headed to California with dreams of making it big in L.A. and nothing is going to get in his way.
Noah Reed is inches from finishing graduate school, married to his high-school sweetheart, and gay. Even though theyâve both known for years, Noahâs wife Haley canât let go of their marriage as she tries to protect her ailing father. Convinced that he will never be able to live the life he knows he wants, a chance encounter at an art gallery leaves him with no choice but to try.
Trick showed up at Noahâs house a few minutes after seven. Heâd taken the worldâs fastest shower, and had gone through at least fifteen shirts before heâd settled on the right one. He went with the light blue sweater his mom had gotten him a couple of years ago. It was snug, and looked great with tight black jeans.
He stood on the front porch and rubbed his palms on his hips. He was already nervous, had been for hours, but the nerves intensified with each passing minute. He wasnât sure why he was so worried, exactly. He had totally been doing the hookup thing for years. Heâd had a few brief relationships with guys, friends-with-benefits, that kind of thing. Somehow, this felt different.
No. He had to keep reminding himself, he was moving soon, and Noah would be staying put. He wasnât going to get too caught up in this one.
It was at that moment that Trick realized heâd been standing on the stoop for an inappropriately long time without knocking. He raised his fist. Before he could make contact, Noahâs shape appeared through the decorative pane of glass in the door.
It swung open. Noah was smiling wide, showing off his straight, white teeth. He was wearing a tan, form-fitting thermal shirt that accentuated off his strong body, and his hair was damp.
âSorry, just got out of the shower.â
He moved aside and Trick stepped into the house, trying like hell not to think of Noah in the shower.
Trick looked around as Noah shut the door behind them. The house was small, the living room barely big enough for the oversized, well-worn couch and battered coffee table. The dated kitchen was just off of the living room, and beyond that, a narrow hallway with several closed doors. One of those had to be the bedroom.
Focus. Trick couldnât just obsess about sleeping with this guy. At least, not while they were on a date. The beginning of the date.
âI was going to cook, but my last session ran long. I hope takeoutâs okay?â
âYeah, sure, whateverâs fine. Iâm easy.â
âIâll hold you to that,â Noah said, winking, and disappeared into the kitchen.
Trick exhaled with relief. His entire face was flooded with heat. He wasnât sure why he was so self-conscious and shy around this one. Get a grip.
âWith Colby around, my mom has it hard enough planning meals, so Iâve learned not to be picky.â Trick followed Noah into the kitchen. âYou need a hand or anything?â
Noah looked up from his work plating big servings of pasta with tomato sauce. âNo, Iâm good. How old is Colby, anyway?â
âHeâs eight.â
Noah added what seemed like a half a loaf of bread to each plate. âWow. Thatâs a lot younger.â
âThirteen years.â
âMustâve been weird, being a teenager and suddenly having a baby brother around.â
Trick shrugged. âGuess so. Honestly, my parents let me move into the basement right before he was born, so itâs not like he was keeping me up at night or anything.â
âNice. You want anything to drink?â Noah opened the fridge. âIâve got water, lemonade, cheap beer.â
âUh, lemonade, actually. Thanks.â No need to get drunk on a first date.
Noah poured two glasses, then handed one to Trick along with an overloaded plate. âLetâs eat in the living room. I donât really have a âdining roomâ exactly, so I just eat at that little table.â
Trick nodded and led the way.
âSo that basement has been all yours for a long time, then.â
âIâm kind of a hermit, so I like it.â
âWell, youâre in a rock band. How much of a hermit can you be?â
Trick settled onto the couch, lowering his plate and glass to the table. âIndie rock.â
Noah gave him a look, dark eyebrows raised, head tilted to the side. Trick was momentarily distracted by Noahâs hair, which tumbled onto his forehead.
âThereâs a difference.â
âFair enough. The question stands.â
âI donât know. Itâs fun.â He took a bite of his pasta. The sauce was garlicky and sweet at the same time, and while it was delicious, he couldnât help but wonder if garlic was the best choice for a date-night meal.
âThatâs it, just because itâs fun? Then why move to L.A.? Why pursue stardom?â
Trick put his fork down. âIâm an artist. Itâs who I am. I like to create. Part of creating things for me is sharing them with people. Music has gotten me through a lot of shit. If I can do that for someone else, yâknow, itâs worth it.â He knew the answer wasnât the standard one everyone handed out, but it was the truth.
Noah was quiet. Trick noticed his hands again, broad and strong, but tonight, they had a little tremble when Noah moved.
âWhat?â
âNothing. That was just really honest.â
âYou expected me to lie?â
âNo, not at all. Thatâs not what I meant. I just figured youâd say something easy like, âmoney and fame.â Not that you wanted to help people.â
Trick felt self conscious, and shifted in his seat. Unsure of what to do next, he shrugged, and scooped a forkful of noodles into his mouth.
âSorry, I didnât mean to make things so serious.â
Trick shook his head. âItâs fine,â he mumbled, eyes on his plate, his mouth partially full. He swallowed and looked at Noah. âWhat about you? Working with kids with autism?â
âSame basic idea, really. I want to help kids who canât always help themselves.â
âCool.â
They both went back to their food, which was almost gone anyway. When they finished eating, Noah took the plates to the kitchen while Trick browsed through streaming services to find a movie. Noah returned with two small bowls.
âWhatâs that?â
âIce cream. Hope vanillaâs okay.â
Trick grinned. âItâs a good starting point.â
It was Noahâs turn to blush a little, and he cleared his throat. âAny good movies?â
âAction okay?â
âAlways.â Noah laughed.
Trick pressed play, and the movie began. Noah turned off the overhead light. Only the glow from the kitchen and TV remained. They watched and ate ice cream, but Trick wasnât really paying attention. He was focused on Noah, throwing sideways glances at him as often as he could get away with it. He caught Noah doing the same.
Trick took one last bite and placed his bowl on the table, then turned to Noah, one leg tucked underneath himself. Hesitating, he studied Noah for a moment, waiting for a cue. Noah swallowed, his Adamâs apple bobbing, and broke their eye contact, looking at his ice cream. Trick took Noahâs dish from his hands and sat it next to his own, then shifted a little closer to the other man. Noah ran his hands along the tops of his thighs, then reached toward Trick. Once again, Trick caught sight of the tremor in Noahâs hands.
That was all the encouragement Trick needed. He moved forward, planting one foot on the ground between Noahâs, and kneeling on the couch with the other leg. Noahâs hand slid up Trickâs thigh and onto his ass. Trick leaned in and pressed his mouth to Noahâs, lips parted, hands on his face, pulling Noah close.
Noah tasted cool and sweetâthe kiss was anything but. The scrape of Noahâs unshaven stubble on Trickâs face set a fire inside him, and he pressed forward. One of Noahâs hands clutched Trickâs ass, and the free one moved up to the waistband of Trickâs jeans fingers curling around the fabric, nails scratching Trickâs hip.
Trickâs cock strained against his jeans as they kissed, and when Noahâs hands loosened their grip, it was all Trick could do not to guide one of them to his groin. Almost as if Noah could read his mind, Noahâs hand rubbed over the erection as his deft fingers worked to free Trick.
Trick slid a hand up, into Noahâs hair, and tightened into a fist, tugging gently. Noahâs hands stilled, making Trick want to stop in protest, but he could wait a few more seconds. He released Noahâs mouth, and Noah gasped as Trick pulled his hair. It didnât sound like a protest, and in any case, Trick wasnât pulling hard enough to hurt, not really. He bent down and moved his lips and tongue from Noahâs earlobe to the soft spot under his jaw.
Noah gasped again, and he really didnât sound like he minded, so Trick scraped his teeth along the skin there. A little cry escaped Noah.
âYou okay?â Trick whispered against Noahâs damp jaw.
âGod, never better.â Noahâs hands began working again, until Trickâs jeans were unfastened, and Noah was shoving the denim down Trickâs hips.
Trick pulled back slightly. âAs much as Iâd like to do this right hereââ
âDonât tell me youâre leaving.â Noah wrapped a hand around Trickâs erection and it was all Trick could do not to gasp in relief.
Trick laughed once. âI just donât want to be naked in front of your door is all. Wouldnât want to scandalize the neighbors if they peeked in.â
âFuck âem.â Noah stroked his fist along Trickâs length.
âIâd rather fuck you.â
âIf you insist.â
Trick took a step back and reluctantly pulled up his jeans. âNow, show me where the bedroom is.â

Author: Riley Long
Genre: NA M/M Romance
Release Date: September 5, 2018
Aristotle “Ari” Dineen, Jr. thinks he doesn't deserve love. Ari has bipolar disorder and parents who don't understand his challenges. Falling in love isn't on the playlist for a guy like him, someone running from his past and so uncertain about his future.
Shane Beckett doesn't have time for things like love. He's busy - giving music lessons, finishing his senior year, and oh yeah, he's the lead singer of up and coming indie rock band, Young Spades.
A cup of beer, a music history class, and a pack of cigarettes changes everything.
As Ari and Shane are about to find out, despite having a lack of time or the confidence to believe they can make it work, love has a way of pulling them in and rocking their worlds.
CHAPTER ONE
Ari played with the brown pillow in his lap, sliding his thumb over the tag before giving the zipper a tug. He sighed. “What do you think?” his therapist, Hannah, a short woman with a mane of black curls, asked. Ari snapped to attention. “I, uh, I don’t know.” He rubbed the back of his neck. Truth be told, he hadn’t really been paying attention. “I think it would be good for you,” she said, pointedly, It took him a minute to mentally track back to what Hannah was talking about, but eventually he called it up. Ari nodded. “Fine. I’ll do it. But I don’t want to.” “We know that isolating yourself make the thoughts worse. Go out. Make friends. You just might have a good time.” Mentally, Ari was rolling his eyes. “I hear what you’re saying. I’ll go, I’m just saying I don’t have to like it.” “You’re right, you don’t.” “I’m not even out to my parents yet. What’s the point of trying to date?” “You don’t have to be out to your parents until you’re ready. And as we’ve discussed, new experiences can be healthy. Let me know how it goes.” She stood and went to her appointment book. “When would you like to come back?” Ari pulled out his phone and made an appointment with her for the following week. “Have a great time, Ari,” she said as she walked him out. “See you soon.” Ari plodded back to his dorm, the gray Colorado sky matching his mood. He hated living in the dorms, and felt like practically the only junior doing so, but at least he had Liam. His roommate was great, much to Ari’s relief. He’d had a string of shitty ones, too, especially before being diagnosed. And now that he was getting himself stable—mostly—it was nice to have someone he could trust. When he made it to their shared room, Ari found Liam sprawled on his bed, reading. His shoulder-length blond hair was pulled back into a ponytail, and he was wearing flannel, as usual. Liam had slipped out of the room that morning before Ari was conscious, so they hadn’t seen one another all day. “What up, Lee?” Ari asked as he entered. Liam rolled onto his back. “Aristotle! How’s it going?” Liam was the only person other than Ari’s parents who could get away with calling him Aristotle without getting their ass kicked. And with a name like his, Ari had plenty of experience in ass kickings, both receiving and giving. “Good. Just got back from therapy. Apparently I’m going with you tonight.” Liam sat up suddenly, closing his book. “Hell yeah, you are!” “So, what do I need to know about this thing?” Liam grinned, rubbing a hand along the stubble on his square jaw. “Nothing, my man. It’s a party. Wear clothes. Drink beer. Make friends. If you’re lucky, hook up with someone.” “Yeah, I’m sure it’ll just be crawling with guys to hook up with.” Liam shrugged. “The Kappas are a pretty open minded frat. They have a few gay brothers. You never know. Plus, there’s always Shane.” The blush flooded his face almost instantly. Shane. Tall, thin, with tousled dark hair, soft brown eyes, and perpetually tanned skin, Shane definitely was what Ari was looking for. He may have been the subject of a few fantasies, even. When he’d found out Shane was gay, the fantasies intensified, not that Ari would ever actually do anything about it. Shane and Liam had been in a band together for a couple of years, and Ari had the pleasure of meeting him when he came to collect Liam for practice. Shane had also done homework with Liam a couple of times in the cramped dorm room, and Ari had a habit of excusing himself when they did. He was afraid he’d say something stupid and miserable and embarrass the shit out of himself. So yeah, Shane. Ari cleared his throat and licked his dry lips. “Shane’s going to be there?” “Damn right. The whole band is. Shane, Ellie, even Trick.” Trick was Liam’s nickname for Patrick, the fourth and newest member of their band. He played … something. Ari wasn’t sure what, exactly, because he’d never bothered going to a show, despite Liam’s repeated invites. “Trick, too, huh? I didn’t think this would really be his scene.” Liam laughed. “No, not really, but we managed to pry him away from the art studio for the night.” “Sounds good.” “What do you say we play a little before we head out?” Liam held up a video game controller. Ari glanced at his phone. They had hours before they needed to leave, and it wasn’t like there was much else to do. He’d already unpacked his meager belongings the day before, there was no homework, and his volunteer shifts at the crisis center didn’t start until next week. Spring semester was barely underway. “Sure.” They’d be able to pass the time blowing up virtual adversaries and hoarding gold. He let himself get lost in the game, not thinking about his stupid therapist or the stupid party or Shane being there. He didn’t want to think about anything, just for a while. # Shane strummed his guitar absentmindedly. “Shane, get your ass ready,” Ellie called from the bathroom. He sat the instrument on the dark blue blanket covering his bed and ambled into his tiny apartment bathroom. Ellie’s round face was close to the mirror as she carefully attempted to get what she called ‘the perfect cat-eye.’ He wasn’t entirely sure what the perfect cat-eye looked like, but whatever. He couldn’t believe she hadn’t poked her eye out with that thing yet. “I am ready. It’s you who’s taking forever.” Ellie snorted and eyed him in the mirror. “You’re wearing that?” Shane shrugged. “What’s wrong with what I’m wearing?” “Dude, you look like a TA or something. You don’t need a button down to go to a frat party. Go put on a t-shirt. That black one looks good on you.” “Which black one?” “The plain black one. V-neck. You wore it the other day.” “Fine, fine.” Shane headed back into the bedroom, yanking his shirt off over his head. For two years, he’d known Ellie, and for two years, she’d been giving him shit. He rifled through a pile of clothes until he found the aforementioned black v-neck and sniffed it. It smelled clean, so he tugged it on. Ellie emerged from the bathroom, head held high in triumph. “How’s this look?” “Um, you’ve got swoopy things?” He gestured towards the corners of his own eyes. “It looks good, El. You know I don’t know shit about makeup.” “Yeah, yeah,” she said, holding up a stick of something in her right hand. “Now come here, let me make you look pretty.” “Wait, what?” “Guyliner,” she said, closing in on him. “What? No.” He swatted her away, but she was relentless. “Yes. You’ll look hot. Sit.” He sat, sighing. “Fine.” He had a habit of giving in to Ellie. It was a good thing, really. They’d only known each other since the end of freshman year, but became fast friends bonding over shared interests in music theory class. They had created Young Spades together, and it would be nothing without Ellie’s driving force behind the drums. The band was the sanity-saving force he’d needed and without it, he didn’t know how he would have made it through the past few years, despite Ellie’s militant, unforgiving style when it came to running the band. “Okay, look up,” she murmured as she approached his eye with the pencil. “Thanks for coming to this thing with me,” she said, placing her free hand on his cheek. “No problem.” “I think it’ll be good for you, y’know? To get out of the house. No, don’t look away.” “I get out of the house.” He went to class, gave music lessons to middle schoolers, and was in the band. “No, you know what I mean. You need to get out more. Be social. Have a life.” Shane pulled his head away from her hands, eyes narrowed. “I have a life.” “That’s not what I meant. A social life. Aside from the band. You need to date.” “And I’m going to find a lot of gay guys at a frat party?” He relinquished control of his head back to her, and she went to work on his other eye. “Well you’re not going to find any gay guys giving music lessons to children.” “Good point.” Ellie straightened, appraising her work. “Perfect. You look totally hot. If I didn’t know better, I’d hit on you myself.” Shane pushed himself off the bed and headed to the bathroom to take a peek. He glanced in the mirror, surprised by how much bigger and more open his eyes looked. And, sure, if asked, he would probably agree that he did look pretty hot. From the other room, Ellie’s phone chirped. “Okay,” she called out. “It’s eleven. Let’s get going. ” Ugh. It was so late. Luckily, the semester didn’t start for a few days, so he’d have time to recover, but seriously, who in their right minds went to a party at almost midnight? “Now don’t rub your eyes or you’ll look like a raccoon, okay?” Shane nodded and made his way to the bed. He picked up his guitar again and returned it to the case. He tried to mentally brace himself for this party. He wasn’t much of a partier, but he couldn’t convince Ellie otherwise. She was determined to get him out more. She claimed, with this being their senior year, he needed to think about more than just the band and graduating, and had spent the entire fall semester attempting to get him to come to more parties. Finally, he’d caved, so here he was, wearing eyeliner and a black v-neck and wondering whether he’d be better off sleeping so he could get up early and work on the song he’d been writing. Nothing ventured, nothing gained, he figured, so he’d decided to just go with it. Besides, maybe he’d meet someone hot, blow off a little steam, and be more focused when he did get back to writing. After all, it had been a very long time since he’d slept with anyone. “Ready,” he said. “Great! Liam’s already there.” Ellie grabbed her phone and tucked it into the pocket of her skintight jeans. She led the way out of Shane’s bedroom, through the living room, and onto the third-floor landing, which he could easily see from his bed with both doors open. He picked up his own phone and followed close behind.

Title: Dance With Me
Author: Ann Grech
Genre: M/M Romance
Publication Date: June 24, 2018
When twenty-four year old Eddie Taylor joins cruise liner, the MV Dreamcatcher as a dancer, he thought traveling and performing would be the highlight of his life. He never imagined the Dreamcatcher would lead him to hook his fantasy man.
Silver fox, Captain Will Preston, doesn’t date crew members. It doesn’t set a good example for the captain to be bed swapping, but instant attraction has him rethinking his rule for the spunky dancer. Sparks fly and chemistry sizzles in paradise. But Will wants more. Is Eddie his dream catch?
Movement in the shadows had me pausing. I didn’t think anyone would come down here so long after the show finished. My shift had just ended—I’d been dancing in the performance then the nightclub and I needed to wind down. This was my time, my chance to dance the way I loved best rather than the moves we pulled in the shows. The choreography was hot as hell, but pole dancing was my passion.
I paused the music and called out, “Who’s there?” I cursed myself for letting the tinge of anxiety I felt show. My heart thudded in my chest while I waited for the answer.
“I…I am,” the person answered. It was a man, his Australian accent a deep rumble, and I inwardly moaned. Damn. That accent. An Australian accent got me every time, and the hesitancy in his voice, like he didn’t know if he was in the right place even though he worked on board, was kind of cute.
I was hot and sweaty and I desperately needed the water I had stashed in my bag in the change rooms, but he’d piqued my curiosity. I stepped forward, trying to coax shy boy out. “You wanna step into the light so I can see you, rather than standing in the dark like a creeper?” I was teasing him, but his voice drew me to him and I stepped forward.
The man who came into the light was not at all what I was expecting—he was so much…more. Wearing a smirk and clothes that looked like they’d been tailored to fit him despite being deceptively casual, he was the picture of style. Broad shouldered with thick biceps and forearms, rounded pecs and a flat stomach that tapered down to slim hips, he was an Adonis. Mussed up blond hair and rich chocolate brown eyes, with a chiseled jaw and a perfect nose completing the package. He was beautiful enough to model for any fitness magazine, and lust spiked through me. Fuck me, he is gorgeous. He was tall, so tall I had to look up into his eyes that were piercing yet warm at the same time. I was in trouble. Big, big trouble. I hated to say I had a type because our differences were what made us all amazing, but let’s be real, I had a type. And the man in front of me ticked every. Single. Box.
I was checking him out and not being subtle about it. Who the hell could when this sexy slab of man-meat was standing in front of them? When he shivered, my eyes instinctively snapped to his. Did he do it because of my inspection? Was he feeling the same insane lusty connection I was? He licked his lips and I nearly pounced on him. I was using all my restraint to stop myself from climbing him like a jungle gym, but I couldn’t help the growl that escaped from me. “What’s your name?” he rasped, his voice all dark and sexy.
“Eddie.” My voice came out a lot quieter than normal, but it had the desired effect; he leaned in closer and I smirked. Clearing my throat softly, I added, “My, my, my, aren’t you a handsome one? And what might your name be?”
“Will,” he responded immediately and I smiled at the name. It suited him. Clean cut like a William but he was loose enough not to introduce himself with his full name. I’d only been on the ship since the day before, but he was the sort of person I wouldn’t forget, and now that he was here…
“And what are you doing down here, Will? You lost or are you looking for little ol’ me?” I smirked and checked him out again, this time dropping my gaze straight to his crotch. He had a nice bulge, the length of his shaft clearly outlined in the shorts he wore. Either he was going commando, or he had loose boxer shorts on because there was no way that snake was being contained by anything. I licked my lips, imagining what it'd be like to drop to my knees right here and now and taste him. Sue me, I like sex.
“I, ah…” He shifted his weight and I noticed for the first time he was carrying something–a suit bag, a duffel bag and a hat. And not just any hat, the same hat that the executive staff wore. Will, executive staff? No, it can’t be. My eyes shot to his and I knew. I just knew it.
By day Ann Grech lives the corporate world and can be found sitting behind a desk typing away at reports and papers or lecturing to a room full of students. She graduated with a PhD in 2016 and is now an over-qualified nerd. Glasses, briefcase, high heels and a pencil skirt, she’s got the librarian look nailed too. If only they knew! She swears like a sailor, so that’s got to be a hint. The other one was “the look” from her tattoo artist when she told him that she wanted her kids initials “B” and “J” tattooed on her foot. It took a second to register that it might be a bad idea.
She’s never entirely fit in and loves escaping into a book—whether it’s reading or writing one. But she’s found her tribe now and loves her MM book world family. She dislikes cooking, but loves eating, can’t figure out technology, but is addicted to it, and her guilty pleasure is Byron Bay Cookies. Oh and shoes. And lingerie. And maybe handbags too. Well, if we’re being honest, we’d probably have to add her library too given the state of her credit card every month (what can she say, she’s a bookworm at heart)!

One scene. One intuitive Dom. One sassy sub. The game is afoot…in more ways than one.
As passions ignite and both men grapple with their internal desires, the mission begins to heat up. In a race against time, confusion and danger, they may just discover the greatest threat is to their hearts.

T.S. McKinney lives in East Tennessee with her high school sweetheart/husband and all the countless dogs she picks up from deserted country roads. Her professional career has been in business but her heart has always belonged to the fantasy world found in books.
Creating wicked worlds where one can meet the perfect hero – and then do anything to him that you want – has been a hobby that has brought her plenty of hours of fun and naughty entertainment. When not working, reading, or writing, she loves to spend time with my family and forcing them (because they don’t really have another choice) to allow me to redecorate their houses…and listen to my naughty…sometimes sadistic stories.

Blake and I weren’t always together. But, to be fair, we weren’t always not together either. It began innocently. We were friends, nothing more. Then two years ago, everything changed. I noticed his stares. He noticed mine. We weren’t just friends anymore—we were a whole hell of a lot more than that. And that’s how we remained, blissfully in love and ready to conquer anything that stood in our way. Except for ourselves.

Excerpt:
Prologue Levi I remembered everything very clearly. The first time we met, our first kiss, the first time we were discovered in the same bed by a nosey grandmother with bright yellow hair, and then the fallout when I realized everything was nothing more than a wishful fantasy that was never supposed to come true. And now I as scanned this room to make sure nothing got left behind, I realized how much I’d changed and how far I’d come. My imaginary world exploded, leaving me shell shocked and pissed off. This wasn’t the first time I’d fallen prey to feelings, wasn’t the first time I’d been hurt, but it would be the last. I took a step out of the room and closed the door behind me. This part of my life was now over, and a new one had just begun. *** Nathan Life as I knew it had disappeared. Poof. Gone without a trace. And any other of those sayings people tended to overuse. It was my own fault really. I should have expected it, should have seen it coming, but I hadn’t. And now everything had changed. Good or bad. I didn’t know yet. Should I be thanking her or blaming her? Both maybe? As I closed the door on the small space I’d called my bedroom for the past few years, I realized for the first time I didn’t know what I was going to do or what would happen tomorrow…and oddly enough, that thrilled me.

Title: A Twisted Love Story
Author: Ace Gray Genre: M/M Romance Release: March 1, 2018
Blurb:
Boy meets girl. Boy falls for girl. Boy marries girl. And they both live happily ever after. Right? Not quite. I fell for the boy. So slowly I barely noticed then all at once. I loved my best friend with my entire heart, letting him fill up the holes my family had dug. But boys don’t fall for other boys. Just ask him. So my story turned into boy meets boy. Boy falls for boy. Boy gets rejected. Boy meets girl. Boy meets boy. Boy loses them over and over and over again. Pretty twisted, right? My life story was really just a screwed up love story. A search for the one person that understood the darkness inside me. The monster I’d become. But sometimes the holes are too deep and far too bloody, for anyone—boy or girl—to fill.

Review:
The introduction to this book should say: Welcome, folks, to Hell, where death and murder is beautiful, where savagery is gloriously exalted, and where lust mixes with love in a tender brutality that is exquisitely pristine and the closest to Heaven these fools will ever get. Author Ace Gray created a world that felt like some faraway land, set apart from the one as we know it, or like I would imagine Hell is lived, its inhabitants not knowing that’s where they were. I have never read a book like this. I almost felt like I needed to slap myself back to reality at times while reading this. I got so sucked into the book that it seemed too easy to believe that life portrayed in this book was the norm. That killing was an everyday occurrence, that men were okay with sharing their bodies with other men as much as they did with women, and that orgies weren’t taboo. Add in the drugs and the chaos that they cause a mind, and I felt like I was Alice falling through the rabbit’s hole. I was so wrapped up in being in Horse’s, the male protagonist, head that reality would overwhelm me whenever I resurfaced from the book. Where am I again? It was heady. I didn’t know this book was part of a series. This is the first one I read, and I have to say, if the author hadn’t mentioned it in the beginning of the book, I wouldn’t have known. Well done!

What Are Others Saying:
"I've read all of Ace Gray's books and this one is the highest, most stunning quality I've seen out of her. Don't get me wrong about the beauty of this... the beauty is only seen with open eyes and an open mind. Do NOT pick up this book if you are a prude in any way (that is not an insult), this book gets nitty-gritty and ugly and sex... holy shit, lots and lots and lots of sex (i.e., "fucking") - primarily M/M. But if you're game for some dark ugliness that turns into a true love story... giddy-up. This is the deepest, darkest, purest, most well-written book I’ve seen this year. Ace has my full-hearted, hefty five-star rating on this. Devil's in the Ace." (Love N. Books) "I wont go into the plot, you need to read it to get the full effect. But trust me when I say that this book is utterly gripping. It's deliciously dark and twisty, but the love that shines through that dark? wow, it's beautiful. Ace is a genius at writing these dark tales, but making them heart warming in a way not many can manage. Her writing is a kind of gritty poetry at times, and ATLS is her best work to date." Excerpt
Just be with me. God, the thought had never occurred to me. It was even more foreign than dating. Mickey commanded, Siobhan made me bleed, Cole took, even Callum had made me his. Only Elle was ever unselfish. Unselfish and uninterested in being mine. But here was Conrad. Between my knees, telling me the reasons he liked me, looking past the monster I’d become. He was the definition of extraordinary and my heart had seen that coming somehow. I wanted to touch him. I wanted to explore. I wanted to go slow and tremble and travel someone else’s skin. And a part of me still wanted to say stop. That I wasn’t ready. My hands shook as I pushed them through his hair. He closed his eyes and leaned into my touch with a perfect, husky purr. I let them wander down the back of his neck and my thumbs rubbed along his hairline. When they made their way to his jaw, I tilted his head. His lips shone and I let my eyes trace them, their shape and the soft sheen from the light of the movie still playing in the background. Mine parted as I sucked in a deep breath without taking my eyes from his mouth. Blood coursed through my body, shooting anticipation through my veins like a drug. Nerves too. Normally I’d crash land into him—I mean I wanted him desperately and was so afraid of where anything more could go—but instead, I moved slowly, inching toward him and pressing a tender kiss to that shimmering pout as a thank you for the words that felt special against my soul.
